Our prospective clients often ask us what sets us apart from other kayak companies? Alot.
Below are some of the factors that set us apart from the other Whale Camp outfitters in the area:
• INTIMATE ATMOSPHERE – not a lot of people coming and going. Some camps are like hotels and they have as many as 50 people at a time in the camp. We will have 10-15 guests, plus 3 to 5 staff people.
• OUTSTANDING GUIDANCE – REAL NATURALISTS. Our lead guides are truly the best in the business. They are local to the area and have a wonderful depth of knowledge to share about the life cycle of the whales and the natural history of the area.
Pancho Mayoral, our partner in the camp is a NOLS instuctor (National Outdoor Leadership School). Pancho teaches people kayaking and outdoor skills from all walks of life. He is a joy to be with.
Lala - our cook, has worked with Blue Waters for over 10 years. Lala is a gem of a person, our guests rave about her food. When I asked her last year about what she puts into her food, she replied, "Love is the most important ingredient." You will enjoy meeting Lala.
• KAYAKING right from camp – we have the ONLY camp that is adjacent to a mangrove estuary which you can kayak to right from camp. This affords fabulous bird watching opportunities and is a great feature of our camp.
• YURT accommodations – we are the only camp that features yurts. Yurts are exceptionally stable in the winds and are pleasant to stay in.

Whale Watching Video
Here is the video of whale watching: http://www.bajakayaktours.com/video/baja_video.html This was a tour that a special guy came along, Peter DeLong. He sings "kirtans" and is funny. So this was a group that sang and played drums. This was music he played on the trip. If you don't like it, just turn down the sound.
The screams and excitement of the people are real. You just can't help it. When those beautiful whales come up around us, it is a miracle they are so beautiful. I want people to come to see the Gray Whales because I want them to know how beautiful they are. And how much they need our help. They need our attention, prayers, and action. There are so many human activities which are negatively impacting them. So, really I would love you to come visit them this year.
